We have had a great experience with Crawford since they were first recommended by a neighbor to help us determine if our Ash trees were worth saving. Jon came out and gave us a thorough assessment and recommendation for treatment. So much so that we solicited his advice for the rest of the trees and shrubs on our property as well as the burying of our downspouts. We are having a fantastic experience with Crawford! We called in Spring and talked with Steve about our front lawn. The dirt level was so high, it was nearly impossible to edge. We also had a very clumpy, bumpy lawn and small bare spots all over, that were more like holes and it was so uneven. Originally, we were going to do the job ourselves. Let me say…SO glad we didn’t. Steve walked us through the process of what to expect and when to expect it. When the general time frame came upon us and he knew it would be a week or two later than expected, he contacted us to inform us there would be a delay and why. He was transparent and professional. We really appreciated that. Shortly after that, Steve and his team came out to start the project. Zach and Roberto got to work removing the sod, and grading the lawn, and preparing the area for seed. They seeded, setup sprinklers with a timer, and even weeded a small flower bed that connected with the area, and put mulch down. They cleaned up the yard, even in areas outside of the requested work area. Oh and they were QUICK! Wow! They started in the morning and were done that afternoon. Steve came back after the job was finished and went over the sprinkler setup, and when to cut for the first time, etc. Oh, and they put a splitter on the spigot so that we could still have an open spigot for other watering. Our front lawn is flat and is growing grass. We are very happy with the service performed and the professionalism and friendliness of Steve and his team, Zach and Roberto. We would highly recommend Crawford Tree and Landscape Services and plan to ask them for help with future projects. Top notch!

Friendly, caring, and knowledgeable! A crew came and took down some out-of-control bush-like trees at the apartment building where I live. Whenever my landlord would trim or cut them down, the trees would just grow back in full force. Crawford Tree & Landscape was able to permanently remove the problem trees. The crew worked fast, within an hour or two, to clear out the eyesore that my landlord spent hours on every few months trying to control.

Joe and the team did a great job clearing out our dead ash trees. They worked fast and left everything nice and tidy. I would definitely work with them again.

JT and Hayden did an awesome job again on our ash trees (we had them cut a bunch last year too). Although I have them just drop the trees (I make firewood and chip the brush myself), JT cut quite a few into lengths for splitting. They clean everything up in nice piles. We’ve also had Crawford treat 18 other ash trees on a scheduled basis and so far they’re all doing great 🤞🤞. Joe and his team are 1st rate!

We hired Crawford Tree & Landscape [Services] to perform a major trim on a very large Siberian Elm tree in our backyard that could only be accessed from our alley and stood very near our house and our neighbor’s garage. A 5-man crew came and did a great job. The company, both the sales associate, Joe Crawford, who evaluated the job and gave us the estimate, and the crew performing the job, listened to our concerns and were very knowledgeable about the tree and how to perform the job with the health of the tree as a focus. Professional. Personable. Reasonably priced. After receiving our estimate we had to pay a deposit when hiring them to do the job. They gave us an estimated timeframe when the job would be done, but they don’t schedule jobs until the day before and contacted us via email the evening before. The reason for that made sense since we were planning the job to be done in winter and the schedule would depend on the weather, but they were able to get the job done in late October instead. We highly recommend this company and will call on them again should we need them.

We bought a house on Moose Lake in 2019 and there were a lot of trees on the property. I love trees, but they were so thick that we really couldn’t see the lake. Our architect recommended Crawford Tree Service for the pruning. When I talked to Joseph Crawford, he described to me a process called Vista pruning. It was perfect for our needs. They just pruned small areas almost like a “window” in the trees. So we were able to keep all of our trees but yet we now have views to the lake. Their staff and crew are amazing and super friendly. They are also expert at what they do. One person would stay in the house and direct the person outside cutting the limbs just to make sure they weren’t taking too much. It’s really a great process and I highly recommend them!

The Crawford crew did a great job with the removal of our ash tree and cleaning up several other trees on our property. They were professional, very friendly and answered any questions we had about the process and other trees and shrubs we have on the property. They were also very responsive and able to get to our work quickly and did a great job protecting the other trees next to the ash and kids playhouse below the ash tree. Great work!

We have used Crawford for several years, and our trees are looking wonderful. The trimming done last year has really improved the look and health of the trees. The crew at Crawford did a fantastic job on a major project at my home. Several 50-year-old trees had to be removed and replaced with a mix of arbs and junipers. I could not be more pleased with the final product.

It was a two-part project – repairing damage along two newly-installed sidewalks, planting and tree removal including stump removal. We had the same crew for both jobs and they did an OUTSTANDING job!!!

We hired Crawford Tree Service to treat our three flowering crab apple trees. This was the first time treating them and what a difference it made. In years past, the leaves would all be off the tree at the beginning of September. This year, we still have green leaves on the trees and they are just turning and falling now. Jon was patient with our questions and educated us on the importance of treating the trees. We plan to use them again for this service next year.

Joe Crawford came to our complex personally, evaluated all the trees and made reccomendations as to what was urgent and what could wait until next year. He then sent us quotes based on what he felt was needed. When his men came, they did a good job and cleaned up before they left. We were very satisfied with the work that he and his crew did. I have had three ash trees slowly dying in my back yard for years. Joe came out to assess the situation and put together a plan, which had some unique coordination aspects to the job that Joe tackled like the true professional he is. Pat, Cole, and Victor did an incredible job removing the 3 trees and ground down all of the stumps. Their cleanup was so stellar, that you cannot even tell there were trees to begin with.

Steve Lentz ll and Zach Elliot were on time and worked continuously and seamlessly together to complete a two-part, two-day project. They took down a man-made berm in our circle drive, leveled it, and seeded and prepped it for incoming grass. Simultaneously, they repurposed the dirt and built up and sloped an area in our backyard. Just what we requested.

We have used Crawford Tree & Landscape for several projects these past few months! Jon was wonderful in discussing what could be done and worked within our budget. Ken and Lisdon recreated the beauty of our lannon stone walk with polymeric sand. Steve, Zach, Freddy, and Shawna did an amazing job ensuring that our drainage issue would be fixed, being sure to make everything look natural. Every crew cleaned up the workspace at the end of day, and at the end of the project. Crawford Tree obviously wanted to be sure we were happy with the work performed, and when we had some questions, they made sure to fix it how we wanted. Victor and Austin did a great job. Cut down two medium size trees very efficiently and did a nice job of cleaning up all the branches afterwards. They made it look easy! We really enjoyed the work Crawford did on our home. They took out a very large tree over hanging power lines and our neighbors house. They took care to ensure all power lines were safely down, including the internet cables. They quickly removed the tree with limited disruption to our household routine. Our arborist Victor, Amber and Austin were very professional. We had a very large tree, that hung over 2 houses. Absolutely zero issues with cutting down and stump removal. No divots in the yard and no branches hitting the houses. We also used them for our pear pruning and they did a wonderful job.

I used Crawford Tree & Landscape for a major plant bed cleanup and tree (10 arborvitae ‘Holmstrup’) planting. The crew did a perfect job on both elements and I really have to highlight the competence of this team. Crawford Tree Service was very professional during the removal of our trees. They took great care in not damaging any of our grass or other areas of the yard. They were on time each day and the clean up, after taking 6 trees out, was fantastic, you couldn’t even tell they were there. I would recommend them for your next tree removal project.

Crawford addressed multiple landscaping needs for our property, with a focus on simplifying, creating more usable space for our family, and improving aesthetics. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome, and the entire team was both responsive and professional throughout the entire process. Crawford was incredible to work with! Steve and his team were helpful and VERY patient as we worked our way through what trees we wanted to plant in our yard. When the day came for planting they went above and beyond with a few of our ad hoc requests. I asked if they could just set aside a section of the sod they had to remove so I could fill in a bare spot on my lawn. Before I knew it they had prepped the lawn and installed the sod for me! We already have plans to work with them again next spring.

We have been using Crawford Tree and Landscape Services for at least 20 years and continue to be very satisfied with their work especially in removing our dead ash trees and in treating many other trees on our property. Recently, Austin, John, Pat and Trevor did a great job under challenging conditions including cold windy weather and difficult accessibility when they removed another 12 dead trees and ground the stumps. They left the area neat and tidy.

We have used Crawford in the past for tree removal – and this is the first time we used them for a major landscaping project – again, they did an amazing job. Part of the swale in our backyard was failing, creating a swamp in the corner of our yard. Crawford redesigned it, regraded and adding decorative rock – it looks amazing and will perform so much better in the spring. The crew did a great job and were fast and courteous.I highly recommend Crawford for landscaping and tree projects.

I recently used Crawford to remove two giant willows, and the experience was excellent! The sales rep, Greg, was friendly, broadly knowledgeable and took lots of time to explain everything including various options. He checked back with me on site several times during the three day process. The crew was exceptional — Victor, Austin, Shawna, Trevor, Sam, Amber and John Paul. They worked nonstop from early morning until dark, leaving the cut sites cleaned-up at the end of each day. The crew was also friendly and knowledgeable. I was especially impressed with Victor, the team lead, who was always the first to arrive and last to leave. I knew my massive trees would be expensive to remove, but when I saw the seven-person crew work so hard, plus Greg, and the multiple trucks and machines (usually four on site), I understood the costs. More notably, the final bill was less than I had imagined. I plan to recommend Crawford to everyone I know and to call on them in the spring to help me plan a new landscape.

Again, coordinated by Greg Blick, Crawford completed a second project in my yard removing an overgrown hedge row, and weedy trees from along the east lot line of the property. He coordinated the use of my neighbor’s driveway to expedite this project. The crew, Ken and Zach, did an outstanding job removing the hedge row and trees, and then grinding down the stumps. I plan to consult with Crawford again for a tree planting project I have in mind.

We just purchased a home that needed significant work to clear the view on the bluff. It was a tough job made tougher by the slope of the bluff and the weather. But they did a great job of respecting the integrity of the bluff while still opening up the view. It took a real crew to get this done, so in no particular order, I’d really like to acknowledge and thank John M, Shwana, Amber, Rolando, Freddy, Zach and Pascual for doing a great job. We hired Crawford to help with an overall landscape refresh. This included the removal of a dead tree in the front of our property, along with planting a replacement. Crawford Tree installed 2 new garden beds, with 9 trees, for me in summer 2022. I was concerned with the summer planting, but they provided watering directions for the weather conditions and helped me select watering aids to remove room for error. The designer (Steve) was very communicative during our design process [and] the lengthy wait due to nationwide supply shortages. The installation crew (Freddy, Zach, Josh, and Jaden) was communicative, self-directed, and operated safely – stopping on multiple occasions during the hot day for water breaks, and informing me at the discovery of an unmarked (and not-live) underground wire. I appreciated their attention to safety. All trees were staked and checked for placement by our designer before agreeing that the project was complete! Very happy so far with how it looks.

I recently moved into my new home and the yard needed a lot of maintenance from weeds, mulching, edging and hedge trimming. Crawford Tree came in and completely transformed my yard, it’s a night and day difference. Freddy and Isaac worked hard and efficiently to make my front and back yard look 10x better. I feel fortunate to have worked with Steve and his crew on my lawn and patio this summer. They removed old bushes, destumped a tree, did some additional landscaping, and built a patio. We had Crawford complete several projects. First was a large amount of tree trimming and removal from our very overgrown property. Greg and his crew were wonderful to work with. Very knowledgeable and responsive. Greg gave us great advice and listened to our preferences about the property. He came out multiple times to help answer questions. Steve and his crew then took over and completed work for the season on our landscaping. Steve was very responsive and helped us with our vision for the property. The team — Kathryn, Heriberto, Mario, and Josh — were also wonderful to work with. The leader, Kathryn, communicated with us really well, and answered our many questions. Their team worked very hard and completed the project way faster then expected. They were very thorough. We were able to get the yard we wanted while weather was still warm to use it!

I was very pleased with the tree trimming that was done on my two birch trees. I was impressed with the prompt and detailed estimate. The work was scheduled the following week. The two arborists were respectful of my property and did a professional job. Before they cleaned up, they asked me to come out and look at their work to make sure that I was happy. I questioned the removal of one small limb and they willingly removed it. Their clean up was immaculate. Crawford Tree Service was recommended by a friend to me and I would definitely do the same.

Cut down many tall ash trees, planted many evergreens to screen borders of large yard. Very professional, carried out work as promised, good advice, courteous leadership and staff. I approached one of Crawford’s crew members when they were doing work down the street and asked if they might be willing to hang up a tree swing from a large oak on our property. They were very friendly despite this being an atypical job for them and got me in touch with the owner, who came out in person within the week to discuss the job and answer some questions we had about other trees in our yard. Joseph was friendly, knowledgable, and honest about what other work did and didn’t need to be done in the future, and we most appreciated that he got the crew – Victor, Chris, and Isaiah – back to hang up two swings within a few weeks during their busiest season, just in time for our daughter’s birthday. We watched the work and they were incredibly skilled and cautious, and cleaned up any small branches from the yard when they were done. The two swings are exactly what we envisioned and our daughter is beyond thrilled. We will absolutely plan to use them for any tree trimming or removal that we need in the future.

I couldn’t believe how much they got done in one day, and it looks really professional and polished. Steve is quick to offer advice and assistance as well, so we feel empowered to care for our new landscaping.

Our company’s landscaping services were acquired by Crawford this spring and we were a bit worried about the transition. My experiences with Crawford have been so great! Overall, they were very accommodating with my work schedule throughout the summer and always made me feel that my project was prioritized! It’s very refreshing to have such kind, respectful, and trusting crews working on a home project. To start, my yard had many out-of-control buckthorns and a dead ash tree. Victor and Chris did a great job with the tree removal! They were really kind throughout the day, and did a great job with cleanup after such a big project. A few weeks later I had another great crew come out for the landscaping. They laid mulch, planted ~35 perennials and shrubs, and seeded nearly half of my yard. Ken was great and was even sure that I liked the layout of the plants before planting. The crew also did a great job with cleanup before leaving after the two days of work. They did an amazing job in prep, install and final cleanup. They went the extra mile by using some unused landscape stones to create a border even though it wasn’t part of the contract. This is a follow up of a previous, negative review I posted. Being in the service business myself, I understand it’s almost impossible to please everyone. That said, how a company responds to a complaint or a negative review should be a major factor in deciding if this is a company you can and should trust with your business. I was extremely impressed by the response I received from Steve at Crawford. It was clear that not only was my business very important to him, he thanked me and was actually grateful I took the time to write my review. He explained that he viewed a negative review as an oppertunity to improve the service Crawford provides their customers. Steve not only addressed my concerns, he continued to follow up throughout the season to make sure my needs were being met. THAT is why I amend my first review to 5 stars and highly recommend Crawford Tree & Landscape.

Saturday, February 10th, Crawford trimmed our 60-year-old silver maple, 30-year-old birch and 10-year-old Katsura trees. It took several hours. The men had to climb up into the trees to cut the overgrown branches. The trees no longer hang over the public sidewalks and the cross branches were removed. All the trimmings were shredded and removed and our lawn raked. Aaron, Angel and Victor worked togehter quickly and carefullly. We are so pleased.

I had a great crew come out. Victor, Ken and Kathryn. They did a great job and cleaned all the debris up. Victor was very personable and kind.

So great job was done today by the company. I am so happy that I got them on my yard!

Victor and Chris were terrific! They did the work efficiently, cleaned up the debris, communicated well, and did a thorough job. I would highly recommend them for tree work. I’m not one to leave a lot of reviews, but I could not pass this one up! Crawford Tree & Landscape came out and took care of 3 trees for me. I was under the impression that I needed to take my trees down, but no! They just needed to be pruned properly so they did not cause potential problems in the future during inclement weather. Who knew?! There were 3 guys that came out. They were Conor, Isaiah, and Paul. They were sooooo nice and professional and knowledgeable. They showed up promptly and met with me and got started right away! It was a lot of work and they just kept going until it was done. What an awesome job!!! We needed 13 arborvitae trees removed, [and] a few that needed to be supported after this year’s heavy snow as well as 2 very large apple trees that needed to come down. After getting the quote [and] signing the contract, it didn’t take very long before work got started. They kept us informed [and] arrived when they said they would. The crew, Damren, Isaiah [and] Paul were very good at their job. We interacted mostly with Isaiah, who represtented his company extremely well. They were also friendly, helpful, accommodating, careful and respectful of our property. They really did an amazing job on clean up. We are very satisfied customers [and] would definitely use them again if needed. As a matter of fact, they’re coming back to plant 13 new arbovitaes. I’ll come back with a review for that work later, but I’m confident we’ll be just as pleased. Would we recommend them? Yes, absolutely.

Representatives Jarod and Kevin set up two projects. One was removal of two ash trees with pruning and removal of wild buckthorn growth. The other was clearing wild growth in two flower beds and pruning and shaping honeysuckle along lot line, as well as removing wild weed growth. This process was professionally done with [clear] verbal interchange. The work was done by Kathryn, Hemberto and Mason. They did outstanding work which was constant with no wasted time. I met Freddy and Miguel yesterday, from Crawford Tree & Landscape. They were checking on my mom’s hedge to see if it was ready for another cut. I just wanted to say here, that hedge has been my 94-year-old mother’s pride and joy for over 60 years, and every day she sits outside and talks about how wonderful it looks! She is so so happy with the work that your crew does. She said they do it even better than she ever did! We had a family party there on Monday. My large family stops by often, and everybody has mentioned how great the hedge looks! It’s as if they used a level on it! (When we used to do it, it always turned out kind of wavy and uneven). Most amazing staff and company to have done business with. Mother-in-law passed away over a year ago now. Prior to her passing, Crawford Tree & Landscape cut down some of her trees for her and due to her health condition at the time she forgot to pay them. I had a very good experience with Crawford Tree & Landscape Services. When I contacted the company for a quote they called me back promptly. The rep, Steve, was knowledgeable and gave me a quick detailed estimate. Based on our meeting and knowing costs based on my insurance background, I accepted the proposal. The communications with Steve were very good. If I had questions, he got back to me promptly. I was kept informed throughout the process. They followed through as promised. The crew came on time and did a great job. I am very pleased with the results. Zach and the crew did a good job. This is a well organized and efficient company.

I had a tree that rotted and fell down, plus [needed] branches trimmed [and] removed. The sales rep, Steve, did a good job in getting me a quick quote and helping expedite the job. Victor and Damian arrived early and started to work immediately. They were polite and did a good job. They also did a great job cleaning up. I was very satisfied with job.

The crew that was sent out did an awesome job on our trees. They were very professional and very careful when they took down the branches so that no property was damaged. They did a great job when done with the clean up of cuttings. Paul and Caron, you are a great team. (sorry if I spelled Paul’s teammate’s name wrong). Will pass on the word to anyone [who] asks.

Yesterday, Kathryn and German showed up to complete Monday’s work and plant the new bushes and tree we ordered. Kathryn was outstanding! She worked around a tricky stump grinding issue with gas lines and we solved a location issue with our new tree. Both German and Kathryn did a fantastic job and the work areas looked great! This was after Conor and Victor did a great job on Monday.

I did 2 jobs with these guys related to removing bushes and putting in a new sump pump drain. They did a great job on both and the crews were very knowledgeable, professional and polite. Plan to work with them again in the future.

I am so happy with the landscape work that Crawford Landscape Services did in my front yard. I worked with Steven Lentz who listened to all of my ideas and concerns. The workers they sent out did a beautiful job with new trees and grass seed. My front yard looks great and I highly recommend this company to do any landscape job that you would like to have done to enhance your home.

Crawford came to remove a neighbor’s tree near my property line. They asked me permission to use my driveway to access the tree. While they were here I also had them trim some trees. I am a Civil Engineering Consultant and frequently specify work of this nature and have a lot of experience hiring professional contractors, such as Crawford. I believe Crawford did an excellent job. They were very professional and safe. When the bulk of trimming was completed they did a thorough job cleaning up after themselves. They even blew leaves and debris to the roadside for fall leaf pickup, just as a matter of course while cleaning. The team of Joe, Victor, Chris, Rolando, Kathryn, and German were pleasant to talk to and carried themselves in a professional manner. I would recommend the Crawford team to anyone looking for tree trimming or removal!

Ken and Rolando did a great job pruning my badly overgrown high cranberry bush. They were very professional in all aspects. I would hire them again in a minute.

When we purchased our home, we needed to have multiple dying ash trees removed from our backyard. The area where we needed to remove the trees was, of course, a recipe for a difficult removal – in a fenced yard, near power lines, feet from our garage, with multiple large dying trees. Crawford provided a timely solution for us that was executed well above what we even thought it could have been. The crew that worked on our property (Paul J, Chris, Conor, and Angel) were incredibly prompt, professional, and communicative throughout the entire process. We were so impressed with the work they did for us over the course of the week. We will definitely be using them again in the future and will continue to highly recommend their services to anyone!

Victor, Chris, and Rolando did an excellent job removing the giant dying ash tree behind my garage. They were polite, prompt, and professional. After they were done cleaning up the tree clippings my yard looked better than when they started. I couldn’t be happier with their thorough job and have recommended them to several neighbors.

Had the opportunity to have the Crawford team cut down a huge, dying old tree within a fenced backyard, with the tree partially surrounded by a deck. Even though they weren’t a direct hire, and were there to finish a job started by another service that contracted the job without the skill/equipment to complete it, they were very professional and friendly. Would recommend their services to anyone looking for tree removal.

We have been using Crawford Tree & Landscape since we moved to Milwaukee in the ’80s. We have always received great service and our recent project was no exception. Michael and Kyle did an excellent job. The plants they brought are gorgeous. They took the time to consult with us before the final installation to insure they achieved the look we had envisioned and offered their expert opinions to help us make an informed decision. We picked their brains on plant care so our new plants winter well and they offered tips for actions we can take on our own for future plant help. We are very satisfied.

Freddy, Brian, and Heriberto always do an amazing job on our property. They are so diligent and hardworking, and we are so thankful for their skillset. They cut my pine tree down two months ago and did a great job, very professional. Today, Freddy and Shawna came and did the landscaping, took care of the old dirt and grass, and put in all new sod. It looks really nice. They do nice work. It was real hard work. Now all I have to do is water it. Thanks so much to all your workers they did a very good job.
